Wipes

I know that these days our lives are filled with all sorts of wipes such as wet wipes to wipe our hands and even make-up wipes to help remove make-up at your convenience...

But look what I found at Takashimaya:

- Boogie wipes!! -

How cool is that? The purple pack is grape-scented. Probably smells really good!!

And I know I already bought a cloth to clean Peter Pan Baby's mouth and gums but this particular wipes looked too cute to resist:

- Tooth tissues -

I only bought 1 pack as I don't really know if it tastes weird for Peter Pan Baby.

All these wipes are amazing! Definitely helps make your life easier.

And though the next thing isn't really new, I just found them too cute to resist although I already have like a stack of them:

Got them at Babyland at Sunway Giza. Each costs RM4.90. The duck (or is it a chick?) bib is super cute!

I'm so amazed with the stuff out there designed for babies.

It's like shopping in a whole new dimension for stuff that you have a passion for!! :)

Yesterday, I finally got myself the Juicy Couture baby bag. I bought the black one as I'm worried about staining the baby pink one after a while.

The bag comes with a free blanket that you can use for changing diapers when you're out. And some other thing which I didn't really look at closely as it's all wrapped up nicely now sitting in my cupboard waiting for Peter Pan Baby to make his first outing!

Next month, I'm planning to get the Fisher-Price automatic rocking chair. They have heaps of selections and each time I visit the chairs, I would spend at least 15 minutes changing my decision from the last time.

So I'm hoping that I'd be able to decide once and for all next month.

Wonder if I should get the play gym too. Hmmm....

I caved!

Just as I wrote about how I've been resisting ice-creams and cakes on Tuesday, I finally caved and had a slice of the White Chocolate Macadamia cake from Secret Recipe on Tuesday night and a bar of Mars ice-cream yesterday.

I made up for it last nite by having a chicken salad for dinner. But I just can't stop thinking about ice-creams or cakes ever since.

Think healthy! Think healthy! *psychos self*

20 weeks

I'm 20 weeks today! I'm officially halfway into this pregnancy. Can't wait for the next 20 weeks to go by as I really really want to see Peter Pan Baby!! :)

- Weighed myself this morning and I'm at 58.7kg. No doubt I'm getting heavier each day eeek!

Approximate calculation:

1st trimester: 1kg
12 weeks - 19 weeks: 3.2kg
19 weeks - 20 weeks: 0.5kg

Total weight put on so far: 4.7kg

- Took a photo of my tummy:

I know it looks the same as 2 weeks ago but I swear in real life it looks massive.

- My gums have been bleeding whenever I use a non-electric toothbrush. I've been so afraid to see blood that I've stopped flossing at the start of this pregnancy.

- Peter Pan Baby's movements are really low still. He normally taps me around my lower abdomen area. Wonder when he'll rise higher in my tummy.

Other than that, I can feel him tapping me more often these days. Even when I'm sitting at my desk at work. He's just so cute with his lil' taps.

The other day Peter Pan Daddy and I went to watch Iron Man 2 in the cinema and Peter Pan Baby was tapping me non-stop. I think it was too loud for him?

- The skin on my face is still rather dry no matter how much moisturiser I apply. I recently changed to a moisturiser for dry skin (previously using a combination skin one) so I'm hoping that that'd work.

- I am beginning to love ice-creams and cakes again. But I do refrain myself by replacing those cravings with milk or fruits instead. Or water. And by looking at my mom's Arnott's cookies, I sometimes feel like just taking 1 piece but also refrain myself.

- My pregnancy rashes on my tummy have been visiting me again. The skin part especially around the navel hurts. But goes away after a day. And comes back the next few days or so.

- I have been getting headaches on and off lately. But they aren't as bad as the ones I experienced during the 1st trimester.

- I'm currently becoming more conscious about people who know that I'm pregnant checking out my tummy area when I walk past them. I know that I'm suppose to look this way but I somehow feel that they're checking out how big I am.

- I read in some books and blogs that it may seem awkward for people to touch your tummy without you inviting them to do so. I kinda personally like it because I feel that it's a way for Peter Pan Baby to feel loved with so many people 'touching' him.

Other than the above, I feel pretty alright at the moment. Still tired and sleepy most of the time but I've always been this way so what's new? :)

Will be going for the anomaly scan next Tuesday. Can't wait to see Peter Pan Baby again and hopefully all is well.

Is Peter Pan Baby really that hungry?

My dad cuts me fruits to bring to work each day and last Thursday, he cut me 3 slices of pear but I didn't even eat one.

As I entered the car after work, I gave it back to my dad and told him that I didn't have any appetite to eat them.

My mom told me to eat them anyways because even though I'm not hungry, she reckons Peter Pan Baby is and needs all the food he can get.

She said that I should indeed eat more if not Peter Pan Baby will turn out real skinny and unhealthy.

My mom threatened to tell Peter Pan Baby next time that I starved him while I was pregnant with him. And come to think of it, I don't even think it's a threat. She probably is going to tell him anyways.

So the real question here is do I really stuff my face in food when I'm not exactly hungry and not extremely full?

Birthday stuff

My birthday just passed and I realise how cute it is when your friends start giving you gifts that relate to your pregnancy/baby for your birthday.

I'm so happy to receive these gifts because it would mean that I need not spend money on them myself. Big hugs to you guys you know who you are.

My brother got me this book called 'Baby Love' that is suppose to prepare you before your baby arrives.

So far I've only read the first chapter and I found some useful tips such as:

- Try to have some 'me' time before the baby arrives. Plan to take a few days off work before those first contractions arrive since you will never ever have your 'me' time again.

- If your baby is below 2 years of age and paid work is unavoidable, try to switch to part-time instead because babies need your care and attention to shape them to become what they will be in the future. Even if the care & attention just comes from mommy and daddy alone.

- Will be good to give your baby all the skin contact he needs be it cuddles, just lying on your bare chest, kisses etc.

- And the part for fathers whereby they shouldn't whine when the baby cries in the middle of the night because that would make mothers feel like they have to deal with 2 babies.

- And that fathers should also be understanding and not assume that mothers know everything about what to do or how to deal with the baby.

That's all I can remember from the first chapter :)

Other gifts I received from my friends were:

- Stretch mark cream -

Which I have yet to use because I'm quite lazy I gotta admit. I've been diligently applying body lotion after each shower and that already sucks the life outta me.

I'd probably only start using it when I see stretch marks appear which by then is already too late but psychologically would make me feel better I guess.

- Breast pads -

This same friend bought me nipple cream too but I forgot to take a photo of it.

- Head cushion support -

How cute is this! If it was bigger I'd be using it myself :)

Thanks so much for these gifts everybody!! Really really do appreciate them!
